The automation tester must know what to automate in terms of which feature has to be automated as well as how many times to execute the automation.

Lack of  skilled resources

Individuals with extensive technical knowledge and skills are supposed to be hired. The person must be aware of the latest trends and developments in the industry.

Not defining good automation process

The process involved in automation must be planned well, as good automation process results in good quality products.

Not defining the goals of automation.

Having a clear idea of what to expect as a final product, makes the choice of functionalities quite easy and will help to give the stake holders a clear cut idea of what to expect in the end.

Not testable application

The application must be testable. Non testable application will lead to rework and unnecessary efforts
